Mosaic Address Plaque Worksop
Level: Beginner/Intermediate
Create a shimmering glass mosaic address plaque for your home (or someone else's) as you learn all about glass mosaics. You will be guided through the design process to create a unique 12” x 12” address plaque for exterior display.  You will learn about the types of glass applicable to mosaic arts and how to use mosaic tools to cut and shape the colorful, luminescent glass into tesserae (the pieces that make a mosaic). There will be many design templates to choose from in class. You will learn about glass mosaic design, double indirect method, direct method, grouting techniques, adhesives, substrates, terminology, and techniques for finishing mosaic projects.

Immediately after you register please go to the online class listing to complete the form that will provide your instructor with the address numbers you will be working with in class.  She will use the address numbers to prepare a special template sized for your project and exactly how many numbers are in the address that you provide. You will use the template for your mosaic design during class.

All tools and materials are provided in class. Please bring lunch for our mid-day break on Saturday. No previous mosaic experience necessary. However, the more mosaic experience you have the more detail you will be able to incorporate into your design. Register early, this class is limited to only 10 students!
