Mosaic Address Plaque Workshop
Level: Beginner/Intermediate

Create a shimmering glass mosaic address plaque for your home (or someone else’s) as you learn all about glass mosaics. You will be guided through the design process to create a unique address plaque for exterior display. Learn about the types of glass applicable to mosaic arts and how to use mosaic tools to cut and shape the colorful, luminescent glass into tesserae (the pieces that make a mosaic).

Learn about glass mosaic design, double indirect method, grouting techniques, adhesives, substrates, terminology, and techniques for finishing mosaic projects. 

There will be many design templates to choose from in class. No need to design your own. All tools and materials are provided in class. 

No previous mosaic experience necessary. However, the more mosaic experience you have the more detail you will be able to incorporate into your design.

*Send your address numerals/letters to denise@montereystreet.com no fewer than three weeks prior to the class date (earlier is better!) The instructor will use the actual numbers you provide to prepare a special template sized for your project. The finished address plaque is 8" x 14”
