Each student will be guided through the design process to create a 12” x 12” mosaic garden paver intended for outdoor display. No previous mosaic experience necessary.

In this one day workshop students will be introduced to the types of glass applicable to mosaic and will learn to use mosaic tools to cut and shape glass into tesserae (the pieces that make a mosaic). Each student will be guided through the design process to create a Garden Paver for exterior display. No previous mosaic experience necessary. Glass mosaic design, double indirect method, direct method, and grouting technique will be demonstrated. I will send you home with material to grout at home. Adhesives, substrates, terminology, finishing will be presented. 

Repeat this workshop to fine tune your cutting skills. The more mosaic experience you have determines the detail in your mosaic.
