Level: Beginner/Intermediate

In this one day workshop students will be introduced to the types of glass applicable to mosaic and will learn to use mosaic tools to cut and shape glass into tesserae (the pieces that make a mosaic). Each student will be guided through the design process to create a 12” x 12” Garden Paver for exterior display. Glass mosaic design, double direct method, direct method, and grouting technique will be discussed. I will send you home with material to grout at home. Adhesives, substrates, terminology, finishing will be presented. 

No previous mosaic experience necessary. However, the more mosaic experience you have determines the detail in your mosaic. Repeat this workshop to fine tune your cutting and design skills. You can do this.
